pixiGetServerTime

Returns the current local date and time of the Pixi database server together with the current UTC time.

Returns a single row with two columns:

  • ServerTime: the current local date and time of the SQL Server (CURRENT_TIMESTAMP).
  • ServerTimeUTC: the current date and time in UTC (GETUTCDATE()).

The call has no parameters and does not access any tables.

Notes

  • Useful to determine the time zone offset of the Pixi server, e.g. before passing date filters such as "changed since" to other calls that compare against server-local timestamps.
  • Both values are datetime with a precision of about 3 milliseconds.
  • ServerTime reflects the time zone setting of the database server's operating system.
  • Also suitable as a lightweight connectivity or authentication check.
